Dear Carmelo Ramón,
You were there to support Olivia Newton-John and her team’s million steps to help change the way cancer is treated; now you can watch their incredible journey in a special one-hour documentary – "Olivia’s Great Walk", on Channel Ten Australia, 3pm Sunday October 4, 2009. Witness the struggles and triumph of human spirit, as Olivia and her team trek 228 kilometres along the Great Wall of China, through desert ranges to snow covered mountains. The challenging trek tested the team to the limit – body, mind and spirit – to fundraise for a purpose-built better cancer and wellness centre. A centre that will provide patient-centred care that integrates the best of medical treatment with the best of wellness care and support services; and bring together cancer research of global significance. "Olivia’s Great Walk" documentary includes heartfelt interviews and stories with Olivia, the cancer survivors who had joined her on the walk and appeal ambassadors – Sir Cliff Richard, Dannii Minogue, Leeza Gibbons and more…. The walk may be over but the fundraising journey continues, for a cancer free future. You can help change the way cancer is treated and support Olivia’s mission for better cancer care and research. Donate today, in memory of loved ones’ life journey that was cut way too short…or in celebration of cancer survivors…and for a better tomorrow for those touched by cancer. Olivia’s Great Walk documentary for cancer and wellness is on Channel Ten Australia, 3pm Sunday October 4, 2009. Pledge your support to help change the way cancer is treated, today. For your chance tomeet Olivia Newton-John and make a difference to help those touched by cancer, volunteers are required to help the Olivia Appeal sell "Pin and Win" lapel badges at the Melbourne Cup Carnival. To register your interest by Thursday October 8, visit http://www.austin.org.au/pinandwin or telephone 03 9496 5753.
